Did you know the first Provincial Rally (formerly 4-H Weekend) was held in Truro in 1974? The Provincial Woodsmen Competition was added to the program in 1975!
We are thrilled to announce that the Provincial Rally (formerly 4-H Weekend) will be hosted at Dalhousie Agricultural Campus on May 6, 2023!
The following events take place:
- Demonstrations Competition
- Public Speaking Competition
- 4-H Ambassador Competition
- Lumbersports Competition
- Poster Contest
- 4-H Night in Nova Scotia/100th Anniversary Gala
- Silent Auction/Raffle
- Gala programming will be intertwined with 4-H Night in NS programming
- Friends of 4-H Awards Presentation
- Scholarship Awards Presentation
- Competition Awards Presentation
Accommodations
Accommodations are available on campus through Dalhousie. 4-H Nova Scotia is not involved with the accommodations process.
Room rates for those looking for accommodations are:
- $38.50 + HST for a single per night
- $52.00 + HST for a double room per night
*Please note that a double room is a room with two single beds.**if booking for Friday, May 5, 2023, you will need to use code 4H23 to open availability.

Lunch
- The cafeteria will be open for service during lunch hour for those who would like to purchase food on site.
Dinner
- 4-H NS 100th Anniversary Gala/4-H Night in NS
- Ticket holders will be treated to the dinner menu seen here.
- Competition winners who are not ticket holders will be treated to a pizza party in The Barn where they will watch the main event as it is live streamed party.
Members will be escorted from The Barn to the Gala in a timely manner to accept their award and pose for photos.
