The Cake Decorating project is divided into five different skill levels to allow members to progressively develop their abilities each year.
Contestants in the Cake Decorating Competition will have one hour to decorate a 15-20 cm (6 – 8″) square or round cake and are responsible for clean up afterwards. The organizing committee will provide the competitors with a theme they must use when decorating their cakes. Several contestants at the same project level will be working at the same time and the event will be repeated until all contestants have participated. The top junior and the top senior will be selected at county level to go onto the 4-H Nova Scotia Provincial Show
