Events Facilitator
DESCRIPTION
• Start February 2018
• Office location Bible Hill, NS
• 35 hours per week (full time)
• Some weekends and evening work when required for meetings, events/camps
• Required to complete screening (ex. CRC, CAR)
• Must have a reliable vehicle
• Will require travel to Cape Breton during summer
• Reports to Executive Director
PROGRAMS
• Microsoft Office – (Email, Word, Excel).
• Social media – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram an asset
• Experience with CRM Dynamics an asset
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• General administrative support, data entry
CAMP RANKIN CAMPS (6 weeks – July to August)
• Assist in hiring, training, delegating, supervising, and evaluating camp staff
• Organize supplies and requirements
• Participate in committee meetings, as necessary
• Provide report on camps
• Attend camp at least one day per week during camps and training days
EVENT SUPPORT
• Assist with organization of annual events
• Source and organize supplies and requirements
• Assist with fund development and deliverables
• Assist with communications and marketing
• Participate in committee meetings, as necessary
• Research opportunities and potential supporters
OTHER DUTIES
• Assist with social enterprise (Trail Shop)
• Materials for website, social media
• General office duties (Ex. Phone, email, etc.)

CONTRACT – FACILITIES MANAGER – 4-H NS PROVINCIAL SHOW
Contract – March to October 2018 – Bridgewater, NS
The successful candidate will:
* Manage the facilities of the 4-H Nova Scotia Provincial Show and all duties associated with it to ensure a successful show.
* Attend Provincial Show committee meetings.
* Be on site for the 3 day show (Sept 28-30)
* Responsible for all duties related to facilities management prior to, during, and following the event as set out by the Provincial Show Committee.
* Take in, organize and source requirements.
This position will require computer, organizational and communication skills. Must be able to work independently and with others. An understanding of the 4-H program and/or Provincial Show would be considered an asset.
The successful candidate would be required to be a team player in a very busy environment.
